Instructions for Instructors

The following video demonstrates how to prepare an exam for use with LockDown Browser and Respondus Monitor.

The steps from the video are also outlined below:

1. Create the quiz using Canvas' quiz tool.  Make sure you select all the options you want to use while creating the quiz (e.g. shuffle answers, time limits, etc.)
   
   
2. Click on LockDown Browser from the navigation pane on the left.
   
   
3. Click the icon to the left of the quiz you wish to use LockDown Browser.
   
   
4. Select Modify Settings.
   
   
5. Follow the prompts to activate LockDown Browser and Monitor.
   
   

Make sure you provide students clear instructions as to how to take the quiz.  You can use the instructions provided on the quiz within this course, if you like.  

Also, it is highly encouraged that you create a practice quiz students can take to learn to use the system before making them take an actual quiz or test.
